Delete your account

Pibbow requires an account. You can delete your account and its data from inside the app at any time. If you cannot sign in, you can request deletion by email instead.

Delete from inside the app

Open Settings → Account → Danger zone and choose Delete my account. The screen shows exactly what will be removed, and you sign in with Google or Apple once more to confirm it is you. A successful deletion removes the account from the active service permanently. If cleanup fails, the app reports failure so you can retry; some files may already have been removed.

What it removes depends on your role in the family:

If you are the account owner, deleting your account also deletes the family: every child profile, word, note and photo in it, for everyone. Other members lose access. To let the family continue without you, transfer ownership to another member first.
If you joined someone else’s family, deleting your account removes your membership only. Your contributions remain in that family’s journal. Contact us for requests concerning that retained content.

Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel any active subscription in that store account as well.

Email support@pibbow.app from the email address connected to your Pibbow account. Use the subject “Pibbow account deletion request.” Do not send child photos, passwords, or other sensitive information by email.

We may ask you to confirm account ownership. If the account belongs to a shared family, we may also need to confirm what should happen to the family and the access of other members.

Retention and other providers

In-app deletion does not automatically erase store transaction records, RevenueCat records, Discord support-notification references, email correspondence, provider logs, or backups. Verified requests must also cover those systems where required. Exact retention and backup expiry periods still need verification before launch; see the Privacy Notice. Files already exported or shared cannot be recalled.

Pre-launch requirement: the operator must verify the support mailbox, external-provider deletion process, and retention schedule before accepting public users.

What the request covers

After verification, the request covers the Pibbow authentication account, profile, family membership, child and journal data controlled by the account, uploaded media, sharing records, and support data, except limited records that must be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute purposes. We will explain any required retention that applies to your request.

A completed account deletion cannot be undone. Deleting the account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel any active subscription in the relevant store account as well.
